2、Sing English song: What’s that!
二、Presentation : Study the sound of letters
<1> Listen, point and say
(1) Write the letters “c and k” on the blackboard.
(2) Circle “c and k”
(3) Play the tape then let the students read after the tape.
(4) Pay attention to pronouce “carrtot”and“parrot”
<2>Listen and chant.
(1) Play the tape.
(2) Listen and point to the pictures.
(3) Play the tape again. The students read after it.
<3>Practice: <workbook> P18  Listen to the chant and mark.
<4>Homework:
1、Copy the new the words six times.
2、Read the text well at home.

教学后记： 

1以游戏，活动形式复习，能激发学生兴趣，学生在活动过程中复习、巩固旧知识，效果好。
2通过练习可知，学生对故事部分的内容掌握较好，基本都能互相开展对话询问，并能做出相应的回答。同时，也反映了学生对于重点句型不太熟练，有待加强练习。 
3.部分学生对于新学句子 What are these? 与旧句子 What is this?以及他们的答句有区分不清的现象，有待下节课加强。

Which is bigger, an elephant or a hippo? An elephant is bigger.

The first period
一、Warming up.
1. Greetings.

2. Revise the words in unit5 (待进生回答)
3. Ask and answer
How much is the guitar?  It’s…….
How much are those socks? They are…….That’s……（优生回答）
3、 Sing a song: 《How much is that box? 》
三、 Presentation.
1、Use the toy turtle and say: Do you know what’s this? …… Yes. turtle!,  Do you like turtle.? Turtle. Turtle .Students read the words after the teacher again and again.
2、 Offer TV to someone then ask :

Is it a hippo ?          S1: Yes, it is.
3、 Use TV teach the other words: hippo elephant snail……ect
4、 Let students point to the picture and read the words.
5、 Play a game:touch the words.
6、 Hold up the pictures then ask and answer.
Which is bigger,an elephant or a hippo? An elephant is bigger.（优生回答）
7、Students ask and answer:

Which is bigger,an elephant or a hippo? An elephant is bigger.

 8、(Point to snail.)  Which is smaller, a snail or a hippo ? A snail is smaller. (待进生回答)
9、Pair work.
10、Practise.
  The teacher read and the students write the correct number.
11、Listen to the tape and repeat.
四、 Homework.
Copy the new works.
