Ⅰ.Analysis of the students
The students have learnt how to talk about time and their daily life before. This class they are going to use time and some sentence patterns to talk about school life after listening and reading a passage, so the knowledge they had will help them a lot. And also the students will develop their listening, reading and speaking skills in this class. 
Ⅱ.Analysis of the teaching material
The text mainly tells us the school life in England, it will be interesting to the students. The text is long, but there aren’t too many difficulties. The students will understand the text well if they can grasp the main sentences patterns.
Ⅲ.Teaching aims:
1. Learn and grasp the words and sentences of four skills:
Exercise, playground, skip, before, coffee
What time do you get up? I get up at six o’clock.
What time does school start? My school starts at 9 o’clock.
2. Use the sentence patterns to talk about school life.
Be able to understand the text and find out about school in England by listening and reading the text.
3. Develop the students’ abilities of cooperating with others and train students’ attitude to know about western culture knowledge.

Teaching keys:  Use the sentences to talk about school routine.
Teaching difficulties: Understand the text and find out something about schools in England.

Step1. Warmer (3 mins)
T:  Hello, boys and girls, welcome to our Happy School. (Write the title “School”) Do you like “Happy school”? OK, let’s sing “I ge

Step2. Lead in （4 mins）
Ask some questions about school life:
T: I get up at half past six. What time do you get up?
Ss: I get up at ...
(Write the question and the answer on the Bb, and read after T.)
T: What time do you go to school?
Ss: I go to school at ...
T: I go to school by car. How do you go to school?
Ss: I go to school by …
T: I teach English at school. What do you do at school?
Ss: I study and play. (help them answer with this question “ Do you do morning exercises?”)
Step3. Presentation (10 mins)
Show a picture and say: What time is it? It’s eight o’clock. Listen, the bell rings and school starts. (teach “start” and practice group by group, ask some individuals to read.)
Ask: What time does school start?
Help them answer: My school starts at eight o’clock. 
Read the answer after the teacher. Then practice by “singing a different tune”. 
Learn the question and practice by playing echoes...
Practice the question and answer in pairs. (check two groups)
Talk about the other schools：what time does school start? (齐齐乐抢答）
Step4. Practice (5 mins)
Game: make funny sentences.
