Unit 5 Where Is My Ruler?

 

Teaching aims and demands:

1.     能听懂,会说:Where’s ---? It’s in / on/ under --- Let’s play a game. Excuse me, can I use ---? No problem. Here you are.并能在实际情景中运用。要求模仿正确,语调自然。

2.     能听,说,认读以下单词bus, bike, jeep, taxi, door, desk, lamp, walkman, 以及介词in, on, under,并能在日常生活中使用。

3.     能听,说,读,写字母Uu, Vv, Ww, Xx, Yy, Zz,并能听懂,会说以这些字母开头的单词 umbrella, under, vest, violin, window, wind, fox, box, yellow, yo-yo, zoo, zebra.

4.     能听懂所接触到的指示语,并能照指令做出相应的动作。

5.     能够说唱本课的歌谣。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first period

Teaching topic: Section A Let’s talk. Let’s practice.

Teaching aims: 1. The pupils can read and say these new words and new sentences: Where is my car? On the desk. In the toy box. Under the chair.

2. The pupils can use the sentences correctly in the life.

The key points: The pupils can read and say these new words and new sentences.

The difficult points: The pupils can use the sentences correctly in the life.

Teaching tools: pictures, cards, tapes and headgears.

Teaching times: one period

Teaching steps:

Step1. Warm-up/ Revision

1.     Chant: Where is your hand? Here it is.---

2.     Greetings.

3.     Game: Pass the ball along the music. Revise the old words: car, box, ball, plane, doll. Ask: What’s this? Do you like cars?

Step2. Presentation

1.     The teacher puts the car, doll, plane in the toy box .

T: What’s this?

Ss: It’s a box.

T: Yes, it’s a box. It’s a toy box.

Then the teacher points at the car, doll, plane and says: They are toys. Help the pupils read “ toy box.”

2.     The teacher puts the car in the toy box, on the toy box, under the toy box. Then teach these phases.

3.     Teach in , on , under. Pay an attention to the sound of under.

4.     Listen to the tape and read the dialogue.

Step3. Practice

1.

2.     Game: Listen and draw. T: Draw a ball in a toy box. Draw a plane on a toy box. Draw a car under a toy box.

3.     Game: Hide and guess. Four pupils in a group.

4.     Put on the headgears and act the dialogue.

Step4. Assessment

      Topic: Section A . Let’s talk. On Page 29 of activity book.

           Listening: Where is my ---? It’s in/ on/ under---.

Step5. Add activities

     Listen to the tape and use the dialogue in fact.

 

 

 

The second period

Teaching topic: Section A Let’s learn. Let’s play.

Teaching aims: 1. The pupils can read and say these new words: Look out, bike, bus, taxi, jeep and new sentences: Where is ---? On the ---. In the ---. Under the ---.

2. The pupils can use the sentences correctly in the life.

The key points: The pupils can read and say these new words and new sentences.

The difficult points: The pupils can use the sentences correctly in the life.

Teaching tools: pictures, toys, cards, tapes and headgears.

Teaching times: one period

Teaching steps:

Step1. Warm-up/ Revision

1. Chant: Where is your hand? Here it is.---

2. Greetings.

3. Ask and answer: Where is ---? On the ---. In the ---. Under the---.

4. Act the dialogue .( Let’s talk.)

Step2. Presentation

1.     Show the toys to teach the new words: bike, bus, taxi, jeep.

2.     T: The bus kisses the taxi. Look out. Teach look out.

3.     Listen to the tape and read the new words.

Step3. Practice

1.     Game: Touch the toys and guess what it is.

2.     Game: Guessing. Hide the toys and guess where it is.

Step4. Assessment

     Topic: Let’s learn ( on page 30 in the activity book.)

     Listen and number: Where is the ---? It’s in / on / under/ ---

Step5. Add activities

Teaching aims: 1. The pupils can read and say these new letters: Uu, Vv, Ww and the new words: umbrella, under, vest,  violin, window, wind.

2. The pupils can say the contents of let’s do correctly.

The key points: The pupils can read and say these new words and new letters.

The difficult points: The pupils can say the contents of let’s do correctly.

Teaching tools: pictures, cards, and tapes .

Teaching times: one period

Teaching steps:

Step1. Warm-up/ Revision
