[教学目标]

知识与技能:
1、读懂Let’s read 部分的短文完成文后的练习。

2、能够听、说、认读句子:It was a long holiday. We left Beijing on February 1st and got to Harbin on the 2nd.For the last day of the holiday, we relaxed and prepared to go back to work or school.

过程与方法:通过完成任务型活动,让学生熟悉、理解、掌握语言点,培养学生的阅读策略及自主学习的能力。

情感态度价值观:培养学生如何安排假期生活,使其合理有意义。

[教学重难点]

重点:听、说、认读句子:It was a long holiday. We left Beijing on February 1st and got to Harbin on the 2nd.

难点:认读以下单词和短语:relaxed,prepared to …,go back ,for the last day of the holiday

[教具准备] 课件、录音机、录音带、本单元A、B Let’s learn部分的动词词组卡片

[教学过程] 第六课时

1、Preview

(1)教师放本单元A部分Let’s chant的录音:Where did you go on your holiday?学生有节奏地说唱。

(2)教师根据课件及卡片带领学生说唱下面的歌谣:

What did you do on your holiday?

What did you do on your holiday?

I went, went ice-skating.

What did you do on your holiday?

I went, went to a park.

What did you do on your holiday?

I did, did my homework.

What did you do on your holiday?

I bought, bought presents.

(设计意图:通过节奏鲜明的chant,复习了有关的动词词组,为下面Let’s read 的教学做了铺垫,使学生迅速进入英语学习的状态。)

 2、Presentation

Let’s read

(1)教师接上面的chant:We did lots of things on our holidays. Well, what did Sarah do on her holiday? Let’s have a look. Let’s read the short passage and try to do the exercises below.教师引导学生带着课本45页的问题读短文,并回答。

(设计意图:过渡无痕。45页上的4个问题较简单,让学生带着问题读短文,目标明确,既解决了问题,又培养了学生合作学习的意识。)

(2)教师检查学生对短文的理解程度,板书相关内容,带领学生朗读。

(3)课件展示Let’s read部分,教师:Read the whole passage together,学生读,并提出不理解的句子,教师解答。教师根据学生的理解程度,适当解释对话中的词汇和语言,如: left是leave的过去式,got是get的过去式,意思是arrive.教师可以利用body language帮助学生理解。最后一句中,we relaxed同样可以利用body language帮助学生理解,学生跟读。

(设计意图:对于短文中较难的开头和结尾,采用教师引导和身体语言来帮助学生理解,突破了该节课的难点。)

(4)学生课件Let’s read进行逐句跟读。

(5)学生看课件上的全文,男女生分读课文。

(6)教师指导学生做课件Fill the form的练习。

(1)教师请学生仔细观察图画,教师提问:How did people travel years ago?请学生试着回答 。

(2)学生四人一小组回答该问题,教师检查。

Let’s check

教师指导学生听前先仔细读题,做到心中有数,对有关题目先做预测,师生共同完成该部分的练习。

3、Consolidation and extension

(1)Listen to the tape :Let’s read  3 times, then read the passage loudly.

(2)Design your own holiday, talk with your friends.
