Teaching contenter:  A  Listen, read and say 
                  H  Sing a song <Excuse me >
Teaching aims : 
1 掌握单词get on, get off, road ,crossing, miss , kilometre.
2 掌握日常交际用语和句型Excuse me ,can you tell me the way to the History museum,please? Go along this street, and then turn right at the third crossing. How far is it from here ? It’s about a kilometre away. You can take bus No.5 . How many stops are there ? 
Teaching procedures
Step 1  Wamping up
1 listen and sing a song <Excuse me >.
2 Greeting
3 Play a game (老师发命令，学生做动作)
T：jump/jump high/ run fast /lift your right hand /lift your left hand /turn right /turn left…
Ss: …
(设计意图：通过这个环节的活动，让学生复习了相关单词，为下一个教学环节作铺垫。)
Step 2 presentation and practice
1  T: Today we’ll learn unit 3 asking the way 
Ss: Read task
T: Who want to ask the way ? Please listen to the tape 
Ss: listen (引言部分)and answer  
T: Where does Mr. Smith want to go ?
Ss: listen to the tape (全部对话) and answer 
T: 板书 history museum and post office
Ss: Read them after teacher
2  T: How can Mr. Smith get to the history museum?
Ss: listen to the tape (前半部分).
T: PPT出示线路图，并用手指所经过的线路。

Ss: Answer
T: PPT出示句子Go along ,and then turn right at the third crossing. The museum is on your left.（沿着这条街道走，然后在第三个十字路口向右转。博物馆在你的左边。）
领读，指名读，齐读。学习along this street  the third crossing  on your left
Ss: Read along this street  the third crossing  on your left
(设计意图：在听力教学中，为学生设置一定的任务，让学生带着任务去听，避免学生听得盲目，也迫使学生认真听，有效地听。听说结合才能共同达到语言的交际能力。)

板书 miss 并领读，告诉学生miss 表示错过的意思。

T：PPT出示句子He takes bus No. 5 .  It’s about  a kilometre away. 
That’s a long walk.
Ss：Learn the senteces.
(设计意图：三个问题的依次呈现，让学生有坡度的理解课文内容，通过听、说来突破本课的难点。)
3  T：Just now , we listen to the tape and find the history museum.   
   Can you find the way to the post office?
Ss：Listen to the tape (对话的后半部分)
T：Ask:  Where’s the post office?
S：Answer : It’s on Zhongshan Road . 
Ss  Learn on Zhongshan Road , read it together/one by one.
T：How can Mr. Smith get there?
Ss：Answer
T：PPT出示句子He can take bus No. 9 in front of the history museum and get off at the third stop .
Ss: Read the sentence after the teacher . learn get off at the third stop. 
4  Ss: Read the text after the tape and teacher . 
（设计意图：通过老师的问题让学生去自主探究对话内容。）
5  T：YangLing helped Mr. Smith . She feels happy . So she tells WangBing about her conversation with Mr. Smith. Pleade complete the sentences.
Ss: Complete
T：评讲，纠正答案。
Ss：齐读句子。
Step 3: consolidation and drill
T:  Mr. Smith Will visit TaiZhou next week. Who can help him.
T: （师戴Mr. Smith的头饰）Hi, everyone. I’m new here. I want to Gold Hawk . But I don’t know the way . Who would like to help me ?
师一边说一边出示线路图。

师与一成绩好的学生示范说，学生操练，指名说。

学生自由说，然后指名上台表演。
（设计意图：让学生运用生活中熟悉的路况路线进行场景对话，适合小学生的心理，让他们在浓厚的兴趣中对本课的知识学以致用。）
