d.     Good to know the colors have different means in different culture.

Teaching keys and difficulties:

a.      Master the six words , then use them right

b.     Ask and answer the sentence “how do you feel?” and then say the reasons

Teaching process:

Step One: Warm up/Review

①  Let’s chant P14

②   Review the words P16

③   Free talk: T: if you a fever, what can you do?

S:go to the hospital. S: see a doctor drink some warm water.

T: also we need some medicine. The medicine is colorful. I can see yellow.

S: I can see pink. S: I can see red. …

Step Two: Presentation/Practice

①  T: how do you feel ,when you see red?

S: I feel happy. S: I feel hot.    

T: red also means angry in the west.

②   T: I’m happy, because I can draw a picture well. Look!

T: how does he feel?

S: he feels sad. Sad, sad , a , a  sad

{look and say} show some pictures, then ask “how does …feel?”    a picture of a man laugh

T: how does he feel?

S: he is happy.

T: yes, he is very, very happy. He is excited. Ex—ci—ted  excited, excited, act excited

T: they’re happy too. Why they are happy? Group work, discuss

Show YaoMing win the basketball match.

Yaoming says:

Step One: Warm up/Review

①  Let’s do P16 “Time for…”

②  Song “ten little candles dance”

③  Review numbers and time {I can make}use 2 numbers to make a new number e.g. 1,2 →12

                {I can say}use these numbers to say “time” e.g. 8:05

Step Two: Presentation/Practice

①  T: What time is it now?

S: It’s …     (teacher draw the hands on the clock)

T: It’s time for English class. Show me your English book.

Show me …

②  Chant :_________ is ready !... I’m ready! (English book, erase, pen, pencil sharpener)

③  {Pair work} make a new chant

_______is ready! ______is ready… Wow, (breakfast/lunch/dinner) is ready! I’m ready!

④  t: But Daxiong is not ready! Guess! Where is Daxiong?

S: Daxiong is in the washroom…(bedroom/living room/kitchen/bathroom…)

T: Daxiong is in the bed. What time is it?

S: It’s 8:00.

T: Xiaodingdang is coming. He says: It’s 8:00. It’s time to …

S: It’s 8:00. It’s time to get up. (Ss act)

(Daxiong wakes up and says “Oops”)
