Step 1.warm up
1.Greeting
2.Play a game. Wood man(木头人)
Let’s begin: Run →stop . Walk→stop. Fly→stop. Swim→stop.
(设计意图:wood man 游戏一下子,将学生涣散的注意力集中到了英语课堂中来,让学生很快进入了学习状态,同时也恰到好处地点明本课的主题---边学边玩)。
3.T: There are four groups in our class. I have four presents for you.But each present has six parts. If you do well .I’ll give you one part .Let’s see which group get the present first. Now,Let’s PK.

4. play a game: Magic eyes.
多媒体课件快速闪动一下图片,让学生猜What’s this? 猜对后用这个单词造一个句子或和同桌造一个对话。同时根据每个小组的表现,及时做出评价。

(CAI出示奥运五环)T: Boys and girls , look carefully. There are five circles in the Olympic flag. What colours can you see?
S: I can see blue, black , red , yellow and green.
T: Yes , This is the sign of the Olympic games. Who can tell me where is the next Olympic games will be hold in 2008?
Ss:Beijing.
T: Yes, so we can watch some wonderful games. Who can tell me what kinds of ball sports in the Olympic games?
(设计意图:让学生用汉语说一说在奥运会运动中有哪些球类比赛,老师相机说出这种球类比赛的英语名称,扩大学生的知识面。)
T: Today ,we’ll meet some sport stars and balls.
(设计意图:轻松的谈话,使教师自然地由Freetalk转入presentation,比起那些虚假的游戏、儿歌的活动,学生更喜欢真实而不做作的英语。)
Step2. Presentation.
1.Teach: basketball. volleyball. football. baseball.
⑴Teach: basketball.
①CAI出示明显图-姚明。
T: Look,who’s he?
T: Yes,he’s a famous player. He plays basketball.(出示篮球实物)
教师示范读。学生跟读。
②Chant: Basketball basketball play basketball
Play play play basketball
I play basketball.
I play basketball.
Chant 时拍手,做投篮动作,同时根据每个小组的表现,及时做出评价。
(设计意图:由学生熟悉的篮球明星引出新课,激发学生的兴趣,而语言与动作所结合的chant也能让学生的活泼个性得到充分发展。)
⑵Teach: volleyball.
①CAI出示中国女排打比赛的场景。
T: Do you play basketball?
Ss: No.
T: They don’t play basketball. They play basketball.(做打排球状)
老师领读,强调Vo的发音口形(半遮口)vo,vo,vo, (拍手)volleyball. 节奏由慢变快。T将排球传给另外的同学,要求边传边说volleyball.
②chant: volleyball, volleyball, play volleyball.
I play volleyball.
I play volleyball.
根据每个组学生的表现,及时给予评价。
⑶Teach: football.
①CAI.出现Beckham.(光是人,没有球)
T: Guess,who’s he? Ss: He’s Beckham.
T: What does he play? 让学生猜一猜他打什么球。
T: Oh,Let’s see.(CAI出示另一张他与足球的照片) Yes,he plays football.
(设计意图:课程标准要求以学生文化意识的发展为基础。此处引入世界足球明星贝克汉姆符合这一要求。在教授本课内容时渗透体育知识是学生感兴趣的,同时也让英语课堂显得丰满,增加了学生的课外知识。在猜他打什么球时,也复习了前面学的两个单词。)
②老师领读:football. 把双手放在嘴的两边,强调oo的发音。oo ∣u∣, oo, foot.(加有节奏地踏脚的动作)foot,foot,foot(拍手)ball,ball,ball.(升调) football,(降调)football.指名读,分组读等。
③chant: 让学生模仿前面学习的chant,自编chant。
⑷Teach: baseball
① CAI逐个出示每个球,边出示,老师边说,The football is big. The basketball is big.The volleyball is big. But this ball is small. What’s this? 引出 baseball。
(设计意图:在比较中引出baseball ;使学生对baseball 的大小印象深刻;同时也复习了前面的三个单词。)
T: Yes, It’s baseball.
②师领读baseball.学生跟读。
Chant1: A , a , a (手拍桌子)
Base, base, base(拍手)
Baseball, baseball, baseball(做打棒球的动作)
(设计意图:此处chant意在让学生注意a的发音。
③Chant2: 让学生模仿前面学习的chant,自编chant。
(设计意图:每学完一个球类单词时,都用chant的形式进行操练,节奏感强,同时配以手势教学,使学生的学习兴趣更浓,有利于他们在课堂上始终保持良好的精神状态。并且提前操练了句型I play…)
(5) T: Let’s listen to the tape, only listen.
① T: What did you hear just now?
② T: Listen to the tape and repeat.
(6) ①T: Now, let’s look at the blackboard. Oh, Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 have got the presents. Yeath . Let’s have a look. What’ this?
S: Basketball, football, volleyball.
T: Can you guess what’s your presents?(手指Group 4,让学生猜,并完成贴图。)
(设计意图:适时的小组竞赛,不仅使学生巩固了新知识,而且学生之间互相激励,公平竞争,有利于保持学习兴趣。教师交给的任务既有挑战性,又有趣味性,学生乐于动脑,主动参与语言的实践。)
②T: Let’s play games. Game1:喊哪一组,那一组的同学就咱起来大声地说相应的单词。
T: Game2, Who’s fast? 让学生快速地找到自己的名字,并把它贴到黑板上相应的图片上面。
(设计意图:学习完单词后,进行阶段操练是十分必要的。学生学得快,往往忘得也快,而有意的重复,可以起到减少遗忘的作用。通过课件展示,实物呈现,操练,游戏巩固几个环节,学生大多能熟练掌握四个生词,为下一步学习句型打下基础。)
③T:I have another present for you. Do you want to get it? Now, let’s come on.
2.Teach: Do you play…? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
(1) Chant: Basketball, basketball, I play basketball.
Volleyball, volleyball, I play volleyball.
Football, football, I play football.
Baseball, baseball. I play baseball.
(设计意图:由Chant复习上面学习的内容,同时又激情导入下一环节的教学。)
(2)T: Do you play baseball? 引导学生回答Yes, I do.教学Do you play…? Yes, I do.这一对话。指导学生读,可采用打手势、快慢读等多种方式练读。
(设计意图:教师借助夸张的动作,丰富的表情和富于变化的语调,通过形体和声音来刺激学生的多种感官,调动学生参与课堂活动的积极性,巩固旧知,引出新知。)
