3 Methodology

Pre-tuition:

1. Listening to the recording for 2 or 3 times;

2. Dictation and self-checking;

During-tuition:

1. Aural/Oral presentation:

a) Listening to the recording of the text once (books shut);

b) Intensive reading (books open);

c) Reading aloud (books open) - pronunciation, intonation, etc.

2. Answer the questions orally - précis writing (after tuition);

3. Oral Reconstruction: Write brief notes (key words) summarizing the subject-matter of the text (prepared); reconstruct the text by referring to the notes.

4. Oral translation: EàC or CàE; using NCE materials or listening materials.

After-tuition:

1. Vocabulary - cards;

2. Oral English exercises according to the drills on the tape;

3. Dictation of extra texts and passages.
